It makes me angry that the good we did there is lost in the tragedy of the war. There were thousands of guys who went there with good intentions and got caught up in the mess and confusion. These kind of photos and good public programs got lost in the war footage. Good works were done in Vietnam by U.S. servicemen every day. They were American sons and fathers, and I knew them. They did not throw away their morality or concern for their fellow man because they put on a uniform and went to Vietnam. They did good there and no one ever knew about it. |
