Andrew Bynum To Make Return To Lineup December 14th

Lakers center Andrew Bynum plans to make his season debut on December 14th against the Washington Wizards after missing every game this season so far while recovering from offseason knee surgery. Bynum has been participating in oncourt workouts before games and has been taking part in practices with the team. He has missed 21 games so far this season, but says that he does not have any pain or swelling in his knee. The Lakers have missed him while he has been gone, as the workload for Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom has increased, especially with the knee injury of backup center Theo Ratliff. Bynum's return will allow Pau Gasol to move back to power forward and Lamar Odom to the bench. He will help bolster a Lakers defense that has lagged behind the offense in league rankings.

Lakers Start Six Game Road Trip After Winning Three Straight Games

The Lakers are now starting a six game road trip, which will take them all over the country, after winning their last three games against the Kings, Wizards, and Clippers. The streak continued thanks to a buzzer-beating layup by Derek Fisher against the Clippers to win the game. The road trip begins with a thrilling match against the Chicago Bulls, and is followed up by stops in New Jersey, Washington, Indiana, Philadelphia, and Toronto. The best matchup on the road trip is the game against the Chicago Bulls, who are one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. While in Washington, D.C., the Lakers will be meeting with President Obama at the Boys and Girls Club to celebrate their recent championship and also to give back to the community. The Lakers might even play hoops with the President afterwards. The team should be able to beat all six teams, but it depends on the defense being able to lock teams down and allowing the starters to get some needed rest.
